Free, family event is set for Nov. 16
RIVERSIDE, CA – Western Municipal Water District (Western) will host its first annual Open House on Saturday, Nov. 16, at its Meridian location, 14205 Meridian Parkway, Riverside, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year’s theme will celebrate Western’s 65th anniversary providing service to Riverside communities.
Free to attend, including food and refreshments, families are encouraged to come out and learn about Western’s wide range of water, recycled water and wastewater services.
The event will offer fun, family-friendly interactive programs such as a seismic simulator and water supply demonstrations designed to provide a better understanding of how Western is working on behalf of its customers and is an integral part of its communities.
Children will have the opportunity to see, up close, Western’s fleet vehicles that help maintain a healthy network of pipes, storage tanks and other systems.
This community event will highlight the importance of water, how to use it efficiently, and how to care for our environment. Members of the community will have opportunities to ask questions about how pipelines are designed, meet a Master Gardener, and learn how to take control of water usage.
