Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) - comprised of public water agencies throughout the state.
AIMS Education Foundation - available materials include "Water Precious Water", a collection of elementary water activities for grades 2-6.
American Forests - a curriculum guide on trees and the environment ($9.50), including five student activities and a world map. Appropriate for grades 4-7.
American Ground Water Trust - a not-for-profit education organization incorporated in 1986 and headquartered in Concord, New Hampshire. The Trust, an independent authority on the hydrologic, economic and environmental significance of ground water, combines technical expertise with a track record of networking and communication skills.
American Water Works Association (AWWA) - free information available on water-related education materials for grades K-12.

Environmental Education Center - provides educational resources on the environment for teachers, students, and the general public. The Center houses one of the United States' most comprehensive collections of environmental education materials.

Environmental Literacy Council - an independent, non-profit organization, the Environmental Literacy Council gives teachers the tools to help students develop environmental literacy: a fundamental understanding of the systems of the world, both living and non-living, along with the analytical skills needed to weigh scientific evidence and policy choices.

Izaak Walton League of America - request the "Save Our Streams" brochure which lists publications on how to adopt, monitor, and protect streams.
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) - Public Affairs and Conservation Division Offers curriculum materials for use in grades K-12. Classroom kits, brochures and booklets discuss conservation, water cycle, water supply, water issues, and properties of water.
National Arbor Day Foundation - available materials: videos, audio cassettes, posters, and teachers' guides for second and fifth grade teachers.
National Audubon Society - request the "Audubon Adventures" curriculum which is available for high school students.
National Project WILD Office - Project WILD and Aquatic WILD Activity Guides feature more than 100 interdisciplinary wildlife-based activities for students in grades K-12. These cross-curricular activities are hands-on and engaging. Educators are required to attend a workshop in order to receive activity guides.
National Science Foundation (NSF) - the NSF site is where discoveries begin. Their education page has a wealth of information from programs to research and more!

National Wildlife Federation - provides a program to encourage people to create a backyard that will be conducive to wildlife.
Project Learning Tree - interdisciplinary environmental education program for educators working with students in Pre-K through grade 12.
Project WET - provides "Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide" for K-12 grade teachers. Materials promote awareness and respect for water resources.
Rainforest Action Network - available materials include rainforest fact sheets and reports.
Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District - free educational materials available covering soil, trees, water, and wildlife.
Southern California Edison - a variety of educational materials are available. "Trees: Saving Energy Naturally" is an informative brochure listing the benefits of trees and descriptions of various trees.
The Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority (SAWPA) - formed in 1972 to plan and build facilities to protect water quality in the Santa Ana Watershed.

United States Environmental Protection Agency - Public Information Office

United States Environmental Protection Agency - fun, hands-on water activities and lesson plans that meet the Science Frameworks for California Schools Grades K-12.
